Actually the current head of the Labour party, Merav Michaeli, makes a point of talking in the feminine plural when talking about mixed group of people, in a way which is not grammatical, not the way people speak, and is objectively annoying. But lots of people around me in Israel like her, and find her refreshing (I voted for her too, if only because I approve of enthusiasm around any left-zionist figure).

Interesting! Off topic, but my impression from stateside re: Michaeli was that she has moved Labour more in Meretz's direction. I wondered, pre-election, whether that would mean that Meretz didn't clear the threshold -- but instead both Labour and Meretz gained seats, which was very interesting.
